Recognised as torchbearers of new ideas and trends in Indian philanthropy, Archana and Amit Chandra made their wealth as professionals in the private sector. Their foundation largely funds initiatives for rural development and for capacity development of social sector professionals.

Ashish spent almost 20 years in investment management, founding and running Chrys Capital. Over the last decade, Ashish has focused his philanthropy on systems reform in education. He is now building 20+ institutions with the greater goal of contributing to India's socio-economic development and growth.

Azim Premji is the founder of WIPRO and has long been agnostic towards the volume of wealth he has accrued. His belief that one is merely a custodian of the wealth created, has propelled him to pledge away much of his fortune to philanthropic initiatives. In 2013, he became the first Indian to sign the Giving Pledge.

Nithin and Nikhil Kamath launched Zerodha in 2010, and went on to become the youngest entrants to the Forbes India 2020 Rich List. The brothers thereafter founded the Rainmatter Foundation, through which they channel their philanthropy to fund solutions to climate change related issues.

Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the CEO of HCL Corporation and Chairperson of HCL Technologies. She is a trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation and leads several of the Foundation's philanthropic initiatives in education.
