Convening

AIP hosted a focused group interaction at the IFRC 2025, bringing together philanthropists and nonprofit leaders to collaboratively ideate solutions across areas of art & culture, technology, mental health, under-resourced geographies, and climate. The discussion provided an invigorating space to step outside traditional funding dynamics, highlighting the significance of partnerships based on trust and shared goals. The discussions set the tone for subsequent conversations and potential collaborations.

Accelerate Indian Philanthropy (AIP) launched “Wealth with Purpose: A Report on Private Indian Philanthropy”, a collaborative report with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) on 18th July 2024 at the Motilal Oswal Tower in Mumbai. This report contains insights from 100 Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNIs) and philanthropists, and explores their motivations, challenges, strategies, and decision-making processes in their philanthropic activities. This report aims to inform, influence, and inspire Indian philanthropists to give more, sooner, and better by providing comprehensive insights into the evolving landscape of private Indian philanthropy.

We launched Turning Points: How Philanthropists Sparked Systemic Change, jointly authored by AIP, The Convergence Foundation (TCF), SCALE, with India Impact Sherpas as the knowledge partner. The book profiles a group of remarkable philanthropists — Ajay Piramal, Ajit Isaac, Amit Chandra & Archana Chandra, Avi Nash, Mirik Gogri, Rakesh Mittal, Rizwan Koita & Rekha Koita, Sunil Wadhwani, Swathi Kantamani, Tanvi Bikhchandani, and Vikrant Bhargava. It traces their evolving journey towards Systems Philanthropy, recognising the transformative potential of leveraging government systems for long-lasting population-level social impact.
